Automate assistance; keep responsibility for facts, usefulness, and publication.
Give the draft a real brief
Start with the customer’s question, the intended audience, the page’s purpose, and the evidence you have permission to use. Identify facts that require verification. A vague instruction to ‘write the best GEO article’ invites generic prose and unsupported certainty.
Use AI to organize material, identify unanswered questions, or propose structure. Treat generated statistics, quotes, product details, and source references as unverified until checked. A plausible citation is not a retrieved source.
Build an evidence ledger
For material factual claims, record the source, relevant passage, review date, and intended wording. Prefer primary documentation for product behavior. Keep customer results and expert quotations attached to the permission and evidence that support them.
Separate observations from recommendations. Your team can propose a useful workflow without pretending to have run a large study. Mark an example as hypothetical when the figures or company are invented for explanation.
Review for usefulness and originality
Ask whether the page gives the reader a concrete method, a clearer decision, or evidence unavailable in a generic summary. Remove repeated filler. Rewrite borrowed phrasing and structure into an original explanation rather than lightly paraphrasing a competitor’s article.
Check product claims against the current offering. Remove unsupported feature promises, invented testimonials, and results attributed to your company without evidence. Review links, tables, captions, and metadata as carefully as the body.
Keep a publication owner
Assign someone to approve and maintain the page. Record the original publication date and meaningful revisions accurately. Do not change the date merely to make stale content look new. Keep a correction process that readers can use.
Measure audience usefulness, qualified engagement, and discovery over time. Publishing hundreds of pages is not a success metric by itself. If the evidence and review process cannot support the volume, reduce the volume before reducing the standard.
